He cut his teeth on traditional and contemporary gospel, later branched into rock and finally found his home in country. His mastery of several different styles of music can be heard in the way he plays the keys and his ability to arrange music. Devon began playing keys at age 13 and the need for a singer in his first band prompted him to begin vocal training. When his church began looking for a drummer Devon stepped up to the plate and became a proficient percussionist.
After enrolling at Lee University in 2004, Devon began writing, arranging, and performing with many well known musicians and singers. He has played with such musicians as Geron Davis, Vicki Yohoe and Paul Morton.
Devon currently resides in Chattanooga along with his wife Naomi and daughter Amora. He has been with 64 Highway since late 2010, and his unique ability to arrange music and tickle the ivorys has added a new dimension to the band's already powerful sound.
